SEPLITE® LSC 724 is a macroporous polystyrene-based thiourea chelating resin with functional groups designed for the selective removal of heavy metals, especially for Hg, Pt, Pd, etc.
LSC 724 can be useful for problems where removal of ions Hg, Pt, and Pd is desired.
The most common application for LSC 724 is for mercury in different solutions. Other applications may be found in different fields of chemical technology, such as waste water treatment and recovery of precious metals from rinse waters in the electronic industries.
Considering the long usage time and tight combination of mercury, normally it is not recommended to regenerate for reuse. Exhausted resins can only be disposed of in accordance with the local regulations.
